Teenage pregnancy

Teenage pregnancy initiatives are delivered throughout the county by a range of organisations and services, including Somerset County Council and NHS Somerset.

The teenage pregnancy initiatives include:

  • C-Card - the Somerset C-Card is a totally free service offering condoms and sexual health information which is available to all young people aged 13 to 19 and in some cases up to 25.
  • Boys and girls work - targeted work with vulnerable young people.
  • Sexual health training - a training team delivers a comprehensive sexual health training programme to practitioners working in Somerset.

If you are a young person searching for information on sexual health, please visit the Somerset Contraception and Sexual Health (C&SH) website.
