Access keys
Access keys let you navigate around a website without using a mouse.  You may find them a more convenient way to move around our site.

Our website uses the following access keys:

S - Skip Navigation
1 - Homepage
2 - Latest News
8 - Legal Information
9 - Contact Us

How to use access keys
Browsers have different ways to use access keys. usually you need to hold down a key or two, then press the access key you want.

Browsers for PCs
• Internet Explorer: Hold down the ALT key, press the number of the access key, release both keys then press ENTER
• Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key and the ALT key and then press the number of the access key
• Opera: Hold SHIFT and the ESC key and the list of access keys will appear.

Browsers for Macs
• Safari: Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key
• Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key and the ALT key and then press the number of the access key
• Internet Explorer: Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key
• Opera: Hold SHIFT and the ESC key and the list of access keys will appear

Skip Navigation
A 'Skip Navigation' facility has been provided on this site for the benefit of users with screen readers. Use the 'Skip Navigation' access key to use it. This lets you bypass the navigation areas on a page and go directly to the main content.

Screen Readers
You can use BrowseAloud  to read web pages aloud to you. You can find out how to download and use Browsealoud here (external link).

Accessibility Statement
We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology and including those who have visual, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments. We are actively working towards meeting level A and AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 (External link).

We have an on going programme of assessing and correcting issues of accessibility, which includes working directly with people with disabilities to understand, and fix the problems they may encounter when using our website.

We are currently meeting 72% of 'A' Checkpoints and 68% of 'AA' Checkpoints.
