Computer courses in Somerset Libraries

Library UK Online Centres
If you have never used the internet or need to learn basic computing skills, UK Online Centres operated by a number of Somerset Libraries can help you.

Bridgwater, Burnham, Dulverton, Frome, Highbridge, Minehead, Priorswood, Taunton, Wellington, Wells, Williton, Wincanton and Yeovil Libraries are all UK Online Centres, part of a network of over 6000 centres across the country helping to get people online. All these libraries offer free access to the Online Basics courses on the Learnmyway website, supported by library staff.

The times of sessions are listed below. Please contact the library to book or ask anything else.

Learnmyway courses
The Learnmyway website, used for computer sessions, offers courses on a wide range of digital skills. For complete beginners, the Getting Started and Online Basics courses cover learning how to use a mouse and keyboard, using email, finding online information, staying safe online and using public services online. Learners may also do a more advanced course on using health information online. Library staff are on hand to support beginners through these courses.

For people who want to expand their digital skills, there are more advanced courses available on everything from shopping and banking online to skills for jobseekers. These are not included in the supported sessions, but learners can progress onto any of them free of charge on a library computer. Current courses are listed below.
