Somerset County Council Adult Social Care and Trading Standards are participating in the Scams project. To find out more, go to the Somerset Newsroom.
Since May 2013, trading standards services in Devon and Somerset came together to form a joint service, the Devon and Somerset Trading Standards Service. This joint service is more efficient, more resilient and better placed to maintain the level of specialist knowledge and expertise necessary to meet the demands of modern day businesses and consumers.
All information relating to trading standards and animal health and welfare is now on the joint service website: www.devonsomersettradingstandards.gov.uk
The site brings together information for businesses and consumers in Devon and Somerset, giving residents of the two counties access to high quality information on trading law, scams and other important issues. The new site replaces the Trading Standards material previously held separately on the Somerset County Council and Devon County Council websites, pooling and enhancing the best information from both in a new, easier to navigate website.
You can read further information about the move in Devon County Council's news centre.
