You can report flyposting or graffiti online using the button below.
When contacting us, please provide:
- Your name and telephone number, in case we need to contact you
- Details of the location
- Details of the problem
Depending on the nature and the location of the signs and graffiti we will either remove or if known, request that the person responsible removes them.
Section 132 of the Highways Act 1980 makes it an offence for a person to paint, inscribe or fix any picture, letter, sign or other mark on the surface of a highway or upon any tree, structure or works on the highway and enables us as the Highway Authority to remove any of the above.
Unless the graffiti is deemed to be offensive or obscene it will be removed in line with routine refurbishment or as and when resources will allow.
For flyposting or signs that are not on the highway please contact your local district council.
