We are committed to providing a quality standard of service to ensure that plans and procedures are developed to activate and utilise Local Authorities' resources and expertise for the benefit and protection of the community in the event of a disaster.

Through the preparation of plans, training and exercises, Civil Contingencies Unit works with the Emergency Services, Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations, Public Utilities and other agencies to ensure an effective and integrated response.
