Civil Contingencies Unit


General Information

The Civil Contingencies Unit is located within the Environment Directorate, based at County Hall, Taunton, Somerset TA1 4DY.

The role of the Civil Contingencies Unit is to assess the risks, prepare contingency plans, co-ordinate the Local Authority response and support the recovery management process in order that the impact of emergencies on the life and vitality of our community, our people and our businesses is minimised.
