Somerset Children and Young People's Partnership (SCYPP)

The SCYPP is Somerset's Children's Trust. Children's trusts bring together all services for children and young people in an area, underpinned by the Children Act 2004 duty to cooperate, to focus on improving outcomes for all children and young people. The primary purpose of a Children's Trust is: “to secure more integrated commissioning leading to more integrated service delivery and better outcomes for children and young people".
The SCYPP is a strategic planning body which sets the direction for children and young people’s services in Somerset and provides a framework for the commissioning of those services”
