Council Question Time Events

Everyone in Somerset is going to have the opportunity to question leading politicians from the County Council and five District Councils in special events taking place across the County over the next few months. Council Question Time’ events are being held from 6pm to 8pm on:

· 15th October - Bridgwater Town Hall, Bridgwater
· 5th November - Taunton Deane Borough Council Offices, Taunton
· 26th November - South Somerset District Council Offices, Yeovil
· 17th December - West Somerset Council Offices, Williton
· 14th January 2009 - Mendip District Council Offices, Shepton Mallet

The events will provide an opportunity for local communities to ask questions about any of the services or projects run by the county council or district councils such as education, housing, libraries, social care, public transport, highways, waste collection & disposal, recreation and community facilities, environmental health, economic development, planning and any other matters affecting local people.

The events will follow the County Council's Executive Board meetings, which are also being held at the same venues at 2pm.

Raising a question or finding out more

Any resident can put forward a question for the events by completing the question time proforma and either emailing it or sending it to the contact address below.
