Performing Arts Library

The Performing Arts Library is based at Yeovil Library and offers resources to support music and drama study, recreation and performance. Contact details and hours of opening can be found here.

The music service includes loan copies of music scores, books, multiple copy performance material, as well as reference materials, a computerised index of songs, and an advice and reference service.

Provision of drama materials includes play sets and single copies, books, reference materials, a catalogue of all drama scripts including contents of collections (indexed by types of drama and cast size), and an advice and reference service.

The service may be used by anyone requiring single-copy printed music or drama scripts and also representatives of choirs, orchestras, schools, churches and other performing groups based in or near the county.

Up to 10 single copies of music and drama may be borrowed at any one time. Music sets are available on extended loan for rehearsal and performance. Drama sets may be borrowed ordinarily for readings only, but may be borrowed for extended loan periods subject to particular criteria (e.g. the material being out-of-print, required for classroom study use).
