You can request any loan item such as books, spoken word, videos, DVDs, CDs or computer games. Requests can be placed on items which are on loan or not in stock in any Somerset library. You can make a request for an item by using a People's Network computer in a library, via the LibrariesWest website or you can ask a member of staff to place the request for you. There is a fee for each request, except for children's books and large print books. The charge for a request placed by you is less than if placed by a member of staff. You will be notified by post or email as soon as the item is available for collection. If you would like to receive notifications by e-mail (and this will usually be quicker) please inform staff of your e-mail address. Children may request up to 6 books at any time free of charge.
