Economic Statistics

We provide economic statistics aimed at informing decision-makers in Somerset of the current economic position and trends within the county.

The Somerset Economic Digest sets out the context in which evidence based policy can be developed and so assists policy creation within Somerset and the South West region. The Digest provides a snapshot of Somerset’s economy and labour market along with a summary of the short-term outlook.

Between publications of the Somerset Economic Digest, summaries of the latest economic data on businesses, deprivation, earnings, house prices, productivity and unemployment are published on the pages within this section.
