Somerset County Council has worked in close partnership with Sheffield Hallam University and eleven other local authorities over the last three years to take part in the national GELLM programme. During this programme three research projects have been undertaken and were sompleted in June 2006:

Federation of Small Business 2006 Survey

Somerset Gender Profile
The Gender Profile of the Somerset Labour Market 2004 forms the first stage of Somerset County Council’s engagement in this ESF funded research project with Sheffield Hallam University. It provides a baseline of women’s and men’s relative positions in the economy of Somerset which will enable us as policy makers responsible for steering economic developments and regeneration to understand better where and how to make intervention.
