Public and Agricultural Analyst Team

As an Offical Food Enforcement Laboratory the work carried out by this team consists of: - the chemical analysis of samples submitted by Trading Standards and Environmental Health offices across south west England to ensure that Food Standards and Food Safety requirements are met. These samples include food, drinks, animal feeding stuffs and fertiliser. - Investigation of food samples passed on by consumers. These services are provided via local Trading Standards and Environmental Health Departments. The laboratory holds UKAS accreditation for a wide range of routine food analyses.

Assistance in the form of analysis or advice may also be provided to local small food manufacturers
