The purpose of this scheme is to improve the A30 at Reckleford, Yeovil. It will
provide a two lane road and the removal of the existing diversion for west bound traffic via Wyndham Street. These proposals will relieve congestion in Wyndham Street and improve traffic flows out of the town centre.
Works will involve the widening of the existing A30 Reckleford on the south side and will incorporate public realm improvements, together with opportunities for the provision of on street parking in Wyndham Street.
This project is being undertaken in partnership with South Somerset District Council and other partner. It forms an important element of the Yeovil Vision and the Yeovil Eastern Corridor Study proposals.
It is envisaged that works with take place from early 2009, through to the Autumn.
