Further Education Transport - The County Ticket

"Go Anywhere, Anytime throughout Somerset"

Unlike Home To School Transport, Further Education transport is not a legal entitlement but Somerset County Council offers students the opportunity to purchase an annual bus pass called the County Ticket or County Ticket Plus.
These allow students who are attending school/college or a 16+ College of Further Education to unlimited travel on any local public bus service throughout Somerset and cross border services to all neighbouring counties (depending on which ticket is purchased).*

To obtain an Applicaton Form please see the 'How To Apply' section on this page.

To pay for a 2008-9 County Ticket online please click here .
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU PAY ON-LINE YOU WILL STILL NEED TO COMPLETE AND SIGN AN APPLICATION FORM & SEND IT ALONG WITH A PHOTO, AND PRINTOUT OF YOUR ONLINE PAYMENT RECEIPT, TO YOUR CHOSEN 16+ ESTABLISHMENT.

Students in rural areas may also be interested in the Somerset Rural Youth Project Moped Loan Scheme .

*The County Ticket covers neighbouring counties of Wiltshire, Dorset and Devon. County Ticket Plus covers neighbouring counties of Wiltshire, Dorset and Devon plus North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset. All journeys must either start or finish within the administrative borders of the county of Somerset.
