Somerset Local Access Forum (SLAF) was set up in April 2003 in response to the Countryside and Rights of Way (CRoW) Act 2000. It is a forum made up of representatives of many fields of interest (e.g. users, landowners, tourism, health, education), which are pertinent to improving access to the countryside in Somerset. This forum covers the area of Somerset, with the exception of Exmoor National Park, which has its own forum, and meets at least twice a year.
