This will include new Park & Ride sites from Silk Mills (work starts later this year) and Cambria Farm to the town centre, together with new bus lanes and bus priority measures.

This will also include new bus services to serve new development areas, improved north-south bus links across the town, "real time information" for bus passengers, improved community transport, more concessionary fares, and possibly a new bus station. These improvements will help to deliver:

A Sustainable Community -
ensuring that key development areas are easily accessible; |
An Inclusive Community -
assisting people without access to their own car, by improving the alternatives.

The Economy -
strategic links to stimulate economic development, to achieve a shift to public transport, making best use of the network and reducing congestion, with more reliable journey times and more reliable services; and |
