Do work out where you are going before you start. If you are going to start cycling to work try several routes out, maybe at the weekend, before taking the plunge on a Monday morning.
Your speed in town will be between 5 to 10mph. Give yourself a generous amount of time for your first few journeys. |
Even if you go by bike just one
day a week that’s a good start.
You will be amazed at how easy it is to find quiet back-street routes, both on the local cycle network and local streets.
