Somerset Local Authority has an excellent record of meeting a very high percentage of parental first preferences for school places. We are proud of this achievement and want to work with parents, guardians, carers and schools to meet your needs whenever possible.
We also want to ensure that the transfer of your child to the next stage of their education is as trouble free as possible and that the settling in process at a new school goes well. These pages are designed to give you the information you will need to ensure the process is positive from the start.
