Sir James Tidmarsh Independent Chairman |
| Sir James Tidmarsh took the post of Chairman in September. He will work with the board and will be responsible for implementing the overall strategy of the project and for the integrity of the private/public partnership. Sir James joins a team set on delivering value and improved services to the people and communities of the local area.
Educated at Taunton School, Sir James has enjoyed a variety of roles, including a career in manufacturing, which led him to receive an MBE in 1989 for Services to Export. He has also served in the Somerset Light Infantry and became Lord Lieutenant of Bristol in April 1996. Sir James was a founding director of GWR Radio plc, one of the UK's leading southwest radio stations. Sir James is very involved in community work, acting at one time as Chairman of the Avon Federation of Boys' Clubs and more recently, as President of Avon Clubs for Young People. He is also Patron of the Avon Youth Association and is the Trustee and Patron for several charitable trusts, covering a wide range of interests, including anti-drug and anti-cancer organisations. In 2007, Sir James became the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Bristol and in 2008 became Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order. Sir James was an honorary Colonel of the Royal Marines in the southwest of England and has received honorary degrees from the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England in recognition of his public work. He enjoys cricket, rugby and photography. |

Simon E Humberstone Main Board Member |
| Simon is an Executive Partner within IBM's Business Consulting Services,
focusing exclusively on the Government sector. Over the past 13 years his
career has spanned business development, private finance, and most recently
business transformation and operate/outsourcing assignments. These are
large, complex, high value, long-term contracts that include both business
transformation and systems/service delivery.
Simon is a qualified Chartered Public Finance Accountant. He was an Executive Director of DVLA, is a Non-Executive Director of the Rural Development Service (part of Defra) and a member of the New England Steering Group. Simon advises boards on strategy and implementation of Partnerships, business planning and performance improvement. Simon has been leading the IBM bid for ISiS, responsible for developing IBM's proposition and mobilising a senior management team that has coordinated the efforts of over 50 professionals in the design of the proposition supporting IBM's bid. Prior to this he led the IBM Local Government Practice and before that the team that secured and delivered Business Transformation at DVLA, a 10-13 year contract. Simon was IBM's representative on the client's Executive Board with line management responsibility for DVLA's Organisational Change Directorate, and was the Senior Responsible Officer of a large programme of change for Drivers Services. |

John Granger Main Board Member |
John is an Executive Partner and leads IBM's Business Services in
the UK, Ireland and South Africa. He is focussed on ensuring that
IBM creates economic value for its clients, by providing its unique combination
of business insight and technology understanding to every client. |

Simon Coles Main Board Member |
| Simon was elected as a Taunton Deane Councillor in May 2005 representing a central Taunton Ward. As soon as he was elected he was nominated as a member of the Joint Members Advisory Panel for the ISiS programme and has been involved throughout the whole process. Before that, he has had extensive management experience in a number of service industries.
Simon has been a wholehearted supporter of the ISiS programme. He is particularly excited about the prospect of providing more accessible services to Somerset's local communities whilst at the same time delivering excellent value for money. Simon has lived in Taunton for 13 years. He has been married for 19 years and has three children. Councillor Simon Coles has been nominated by the Leader of TDBC to be the TDBC representative on the Board of Southwest One. In accordance with the TDBC Constitution, this decision will not be formalised until Thursday 4 October. |

David Greene Main Board Member |
| Dave is the County Councillor for the Yeovil South Division and is a member of the Executive Board holding the Portfolio for Resources and Finance with responsibility for those areas which are in the remit of Southwest One. He is also a District and Town Councillor for the same area of Yeovil and has served in local government for 12 years.
Dave is a great jazz enthusiast and plays clarinet, saxophone and also the didgeridoo. His other hobbies include photography and cycling and he and his wife Marcie are often seen in the Somerset countryside on their mountain bikes. Dave is Somerset born and bred and has great enthusiasm for his county. |

Colin Port Main Board Member |
| Colin Port became Avon and Somerset Constabulary's sixth Chief Constable in January 2005. His policing career has spanned Greater Manchester Police, Warwickshire Constabulary, Norfolk Constabulary and he was a former head of the South East Regional Crime Squad. He has worked for the United Nations as Investigations Co-ordinator with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia followed by a period as the Director of Investigations for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Between 1999 and 2002 he was seconded to Northern Ireland to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Rosemary Nelson. |

Dr Moira Hamlin |
| Dr Moira Hamlin is Chair of Avon and Somerset Police Authority and was Deputy Chair of the APA until July 2008. She has served as a magistrate for 17 years, is Chair of the Police Community Trust and a member of the West Country Crimestoppers Board. A clinical psychologist by profession, Dr Hamlin has worked in the NHS for many years as well as in higher education. Previous appointments include Vice Chair of the National Clinical Assessment Authority, Vice Chair of Dorset and Somerset Health Authority and a member of the Home Office Joint Prison/Probation Accreditation Panel. She is also a past holder of a Winston Churchill Fellowship and a Council of Europe Medical Fellowship in the areas of alcohol and drug dependence. |

Richard Jones Interim CEO |
| Richard is a Vice President in IBM's public sector business. He is the government industry leader for North East Europe which covers UK, Ireland, the Nordic countries, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Eastern Europe, Russia, and South Africa. He has been in consulting for 22 years covering all sectors but has specialised in the public sector for the last 12 years.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and his work has covered strategic advice, systems implementations, process redesign, efficiency improvements, management of change and training and people development at all levels of government in the UK and overseas. Clients include the Home Office, Security Services, Ministry of Defence, Department for Work and Pensions, Defra, Bradford and Surrey. Richard has been nominated as IBM's interim CEO for Southwest One until co-ordinated selection processes have been completed. He has been leading the team finalising the commercial and legal arrangements for the joint venture. He is married with two grown up children and, although based in London until the formation of the ISiS project, lives with his wife Angela in North Somerset. |

Mark Whittle Director of Finance |
| Mark is the Finance and Planning Manager for IBM's Service Delivery organisation where he is responsible for the complex dynamics of a US$1.1 billion cost base involving 4000 people across several mega-centres which support a portfolio of strategic outsourcing contracts and IBM's own internal IT infrastructure covering the UK, Ireland and South Africa. The organisation supplies IT services to major companies and institutions across the financial, retail, distribution, public, communications and industrial sectors.
Mark is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant. He has an honours degree in Management Sciences from Manchester University. He has 30 years finance experience obtained across a variety of businesses and industries. He joined IBM 11 years ago via the Data Sciences acquisition where he was Chief Accountant and then Financial Controller of their Government Defence business. Mark started his career in the nationalised electricity business and then progressed through several businesses covering computers, distribution and manufacturing. Mark's first role in IBM was to run a project to install a time recording and project charging system across IBM's services businesses. Prior to his current role he led the finance function of IBM's Integrated Technology Services. Mark is married with three children in their twenties and teens. His hobbies include golf, running and football. He lives near Basingstoke, Hampshire. |

Paul Lyons Director of Services Operations |
| Paul Lyons has worked for IBM for 23 years in various professional, general management and executive positions across a number of IBM business divisions.
Starting in Dublin, Ireland in 1984, he spent the initial part of his career developing IBM proprietary software products for sale worldwide and managing the sales and consultancy teams servicing the European market. In 1996 he was then put in charge of starting up a major international shared-services centre in Dublin which led to operational responsibility for the services delivered by this 1,300 person centre to IBM customers and internal users across Europe and in the USA. Paul then took overall executive responsibility for the NTL Ltd outsourcing contract to deliver call support services, which included the transfer of 650 staff. This continued to expand as NTL merged with Telewest Ltd and rebranded as Virgin Media and has now grown to include operational responsibility for over 3,000 people across two UK centres, and two offshore centres. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, and a Masters in Management Science from Trinity College Dublin and the Irish Management Institute. He is a former Chairperson of the Teleservices Forum of Ireland which is the industry association for contact centres in Ireland. He was also a founding member of FastTrack to IT (FIT), a government-sponsored initiative aimed at re-skilling unemployed people for roles in the IT industry. Paul is 45 years old and he is married with two children aged 13 and 10. |

Linda Pope Director of HR |
| Linda's extensive Human Resources experience has been gained from many years across the Public Sector. Linda began her HR career in a County Council Education department and then moved into HR in Further Education. Linda then spent twelve years in the police refining her HR leadership and growing people skills. Linda seconded to Southwest One from Avon and Somerset Police in June 2008 and is committed to ensuring the Management Board can achieve its goals. Southwest One HR Policies and People are one of Linda's focus areas with particular emphasis on organisational design and people - aiming to get Southwest One recognised as an "Investor in People" organisation. | |

Jill Sillifant Relationship Director |
Jill Sillifant has seconded into the position of Relationship Director for Southwest One and will be on the Southwest One Management Board. Jill undertakes a crucial senior role in the organisation, focusing on the management of relationships between Southwest One, Members and other senior stakeholders. She will also work on the development of new relationships between Southwest One and other Authorities. Jill has extensive experience in working with a variety of public authorities at a senior level. This experience will prove to be a significant asset to our management team and continues our strategy of ensuring that at every level in our organisation we have a strong blend of public sector and private sector experience, dedicated to understanding and supporting our current and future customers' objectives. |

Alan Thurlow Director of Transformation |
| Alan Thurlow is an Executive Programme Manager. He has been in consulting for 14 years. He has implemented large systems projects across multiple functional areas and countries. His clients have been in many different industries ranging from Nokia in telecommunications to Bally in the retail industry. His public sector experience has been in the Ministry of Defence and most recently at Bradford Metropolitan District Council. Alan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Bristol University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He spent his early career in the audit division of PriceWaterhouseCoopers during which he was the Managing Partner in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Married with a teenage daughter, Alan lives in West London but spends most of his working week in the South West. He is an ASA qualified swimming referee and spends much of his weekends supporting his local swimming club. |
