Equipment Provision

Somerset County Council provides an Occupational Therapy Service to enable people to live an independent life in the community. We can help you to cope with the changes in your lifestyle caused by illness or traumatic injury.

Advice and information is available on equipment which is available to help you to maintain your independence in your own home. We can also give advice on other agencies and services which may of benefit to you.

The decision about whether you are eligible for services is based upon an assessment of your needs and how they affect your life.  For more information, see the information booklet Fair Access to Services.
