The Independent Living Fund (ILF) is a trust set up by the Government to help people with severe disabilities pay for the support they need to live at home. The Department for Work and Pensions manages the trust.
The ILF works closely with Adult Social Care and helps people who require a lot of help pay for the care they need. It also has a support service which is run by A4e and they will:
-
help with the completion of forms
-
give support at the three-way meeting with the ILF visiting worker
-
give advice on the arrangement of appropriate care.
The fund is for people aged between 16 and 66 years of age who qualify for support.
