Day Services

We have a network of bases throughout Somerset where we co-ordinate Day Services. Access to these Services are tailored to meet the assessed needs of the individual and their families. They address health and social care needs and provide opportunities for life skills, access to leisure, multi-sensory rooms, education and other activities, all of which incorporate links with their local communities.

Although common activities are provided in our Resource Centres, the way in which these are delivered is unique to the individual Resource Centre and its community links.

These Services will not always be “buildings based” but may be delivered from the person’s home or by accessing the community directly.

Our partners such as local colleges, Adult Learning and Leisure (ALL) and Somerset Leisure Access Project (SLAP) provide the expertise and we may provide additional support to meet personal care needs.

Day Services are also purchased by CTALDs from independent providers.
