Supporting You As an Equal Person
Being an Equal Person means:

you are not stopped from doing things because of your disability. Like getting on a bus, going shopping.

you can follow your family’s way of life, if you choose to. You might:-
- eat special foods
- not eat some foods
- say prayers where you want to
- wash in a special way
- put special things on your skin
- wear special clothes
- look after your hair in a special way

you can communicate

you can choose if a man or woman staff support you

they know what to call you

they know how to care for you if you are ill or dying

you have the same choices if you are:
- a man or a woman
- lesbian or gay
- young or old
- black or white
