We need your voice to shape Somerset’s new Special Education Needs and Disabilities strategy! 

As part of the ongoing work to improve services for children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities in Somerset, regular discussion groups are held. The group brings parent carers and those that provide services together to learn from lived experience.    

Somerset County Council, Somerset Parent Carer Forum and NHS Somerset are developing a new SEND strategy.  

The strategy (our plan) will set out what is important for Somerset’s young people and how we will make this happen.  

It is our priority to hear from you about what matters to your family and what would make life better and easier for your child or young person.
