What we do

Children’s Centres in Somerset are run by the getset Service, who work with children, young people and their families from 0 to 19 years, and up to 25 years where the young person has a special educational need.  They provide early help and support from Children’s Centres, community venues and in people’s homes as part of a family support service.

getset Services work closely with other agencies and professionals, and in some cases groups, and sessions are run with other organisations. getset and their partners can offer support and advice on a wide range of things including:

  • Setting routines
  • Parenting
  • Budgeting
  • Two year old funding
  • Employment
  • Healthy eating
  • Managing behaviour

  • Child development
  • Coping with teenagers
  • Support with emotional problems for adults and young people
  • Building relationships
