We are sorry, there will be disruption to recycling collections this weekend.
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, our contractor Suez will be unable to collect some household’s recycling on Saturday (3 June).
We apologise for this and know it’s not the service that you expect. We are working with Suez to get things back on track as soon as possible.
Recycling collections due yesterday (2 June) in and around Bridgwater, Ilminster, Taunton, Street, Glastonbury, Somerton, Langport and Martock, will be returned for today (Saturday, 3 June). Please leave you boxes, bags and bins out for collection.
Garden waste due to be collected yesterday (2 June) in and around Wells, will be returned for today.
Unfortunately our contractor has informed us that some residents in Mendip and South Somerset, whose recycling is due to be collected today, Saturday, 3 June may be missed.
If your recycling has not been collected by 5pm, please bring your containers in and re-present them on your next collection day.
We apologise for this and know it’s not the service that you expect. We will be following procedures to take this up with our contractor. We are making every effort to get the service back to a high standard.
All waste collections are one day later this week due to the Bank Holiday on Monday 29 May.
