Register to provide transport

If you would like to become a supplier providing transport services for school, social care, health, and other journeys for the council, please contact us. We welcome interest from Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV), Hackney and Private Hire operators.

To become a contractor for us, you will need to register on the council’s Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) using the button below. We are in partnership with Proactis to provide this e-Procurement portal.

Following your registration with Proactis, you will need to contact the Procurement Team (CommercialandProcurement@somerset.gov.uk) to confirm your interest. You will then be provided with the links to begin the approval process. After this two-stage qualification process, we will come to your premises to inspect your vehicle before you can become an Approved Supplier.

Your drivers will need to have a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check with us.

There are no fees for accessing the Dynamic Purchasing System, and the portal will work on desktops and laptops, as well as mobile devices.
