The Council has made an application to the Secretary of State for an Order under S249 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, for the extinguishment of vehicular rights along Dark Lane and a length of Berkley Lane, Frome. The application has been made in attempt to combat the serious fly tipping in this rural part of the Council’s area.
The application is opposed by neighbouring landowners and residents and others.
An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will consider representations both for and against the proposal at the forthcoming Inquiry and he will undertake a site visit after the Inquiry has closed.
There will be a live webcast of the Inquiry, which those who are unable to be physically present can access using this link.
However, please note this will not be an interactive session and anybody joining remotely will not be able to address the Inquiry but would simply be able to view the live feed of the proceedings.
Like other Planning Inquiries, the Inspector’s Decision will be issued subsequently.
