Introduction

Education Governance Services offer advice, support and development opportunities to volunteers and governance professionals involved in the governance boards of schools and academy trusts. Through the services we provide for clerks, governors and trustees, we support the delivery of educational excellence to all children and young people. We work with all Somerset maintained schools. Our services can also be purchased by academy schools, trusts and schools from outside the county.

We also support governance boards in recruiting governors and trustees. Schools are always looking for people who are able to make a difference to the education of our children through these key leadership roles.
