About the climate summit
Businesses came together from across Somerset to learn, share and be inspired about reducing the climate impact of our companies – working together using small steps to deliver collective big wins.
The Somerset Business Climate Summit 2022 took place at Queen’s College on Wednesday 21 September 2022.
Local firms shared impactful case studies as we came together to raise awareness of the opportunities and challenges for businesses as we shift toward a low-carbon economy.
You can find information on funding and grants, plus additional resources and presentations from the event.
Somerset Waste Partnership’s Fixy Van was there, as was Shoreditch White’s eCargo bike.
The Climate Summit offered valuable networking opportunities and the chance to find out what help is available for businesses. It also showed the steps other local companies are taking to reduce their carbon footprints and energy bills.
Queen’s College is a short walk from Taunton town centre and has an area for parking bikes.
All proceeds went to Queen’s College Bee Highway Project and Trees for Good Causes.
Following the Summit, there will be several workshops held across Somerset between September and December 2022. As part of a programme of ongoing networking and best practice sharing we will offer insightful practical steps to reducing your carbon footprint and becoming more sustainable.
The workshop facilitators will be present at the Summit to provide further information and to promote these workshops.
