About the Climate Summit
Businesses came together from across Somerset to learn share and be inspired about reducing the climate impact of our companies – working together using small steps to deliver collective big wins!
The Somerset Business Climate Summit 2022 took place at Queens College on Wednesday 21 September 2022.
Local firms shared impactful case studies as we came together to raise awareness of the opportunities and challenges for businesses as we shift toward a low-carbon economy.
Following the summit, we are holding a series of workshops as part of a programme of ongoing networking and best practice sharing and will offer insightful practical steps to reducing your carbon footprint and becoming more sustainable.
Funding and Resources plus additional resources and presentations from the event are available here: funding and grants
Somerset Waste Partnership’s Fixy Van was there, as was Shoreditch White’s eCargo bike.
The Climate Summit offered valuable networking opportunities and the chance to find out what help is available for businesses, as well as learn about the steps other local companies are taking to reduce their carbon footprints and energy bills.
Queens College is a short walk from Taunton town centre and has an area for parking bikes.
All proceeds went to Queens College Bee Highway Project and Trees for Good Causes.
Following the Summit, there will be several workshops held across Somerset between September and December 2022 as part of a programme of ongoing networking and best practice sharing and will offer insightful practical steps to reducing your carbon footprint and becoming more sustainable.
The workshop facilitators will be present at the Summit to provide further information and to promote these workshops.
