About the event
Peter Jaggard, Chairman of The Friends of Mendip Hospital Cemetery, will be sharing with us the history of the Mendip Hospital and what life was really like in the Victorian asylum. He’ll also tell us stories of this beautiful rescued cemetery, some of the staff and patients buried there and outline the ongoing work of the dedicated team of volunteers. Nb: This will take place at Bridgwater Arts Centre in Castle Street. Places are free but need to be booked . Please see booking details below.
