Description

This practical session is designed to help parents understand how autism can affect toileting development.

We will explore common challenges, share supportive strategies and offer guidance on how to work together with early years settings to create consistency and confidence and confidence for your child.

In this workshop we will cover:

  • How autism can impact toileting routines and progress
  • Why some children may struggle with awareness, communication or sensory aspects
  • Practical strategies to support toileting at home and in early years
  • Creating a supportive, pressure free approach to toileting

These sessions are open to all parent carers in Somerset who have a child with additional needs and/or a disability.
