About the event

Play is a vital part of every child’s development. It helps children learn how to interact with their environment, solve problems, develop motor skills, and acquire language.

For children with additional needs, play can be especially powerful in helping them build these skills in a way that feels natural and engaging.

You will discover:

• How play supports different areas of development.
• Strategies to encourage meaningful play.
• Tried-and-tested techniques to use at home.

These sessions are open to all parent carers in Somerset who have a child with additional needs and/or a disability.
