About the event

Children and young people can feel anxious about different things, at different ages and different times. Anxiety becomes a problem for children and young people, when it starts to get in the way of their everyday life.

Severe anxiety can harm children’s mental and emotional wellbeing, affecting their self-esteem and confidence. We will think about how being neurodivergent (Autistic, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or other) may impact how you experience anxiety and how to manage this.

In this workshop we will explore:
What is anxiety.
What are the signs of anxiety.
How is anxiety different if you are neurodivergent.
What can we do to support neurodivergent people who feel anxious.
What to do when anxiety is a serious problem and needs professional support.
