About the event
Every child is different. They learn, think, communicate, and experience the world in their own way. Some children may be neurodivergent, which can include Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette Syndrome, and other differences.
You may be wondering how to talk to your child about their strengths, challenges, or possible neurodivergence. You may also be thinking about whether to seek a diagnosis and what support is available along the way.
This workshop will help you start positive and age-appropriate conversations with your child. We will look at ways to build their confidence, understanding, and self-esteem. We will also explore the support available in Somerset for neurodivergent children and young people, whether or not they have a formal diagnosis.
By the end of the session, you will feel more confident talking with your child and supporting them to understand themselves and thrive.
