About the event
Join us for a practical workshop designed for parents and carers who want to better support their child’s reading, spelling, writing, and confidence at home.
This workshop is not just for children with a dyslexia diagnosis. Many children experience difficulties with literacy, processing information, memory, organisation, or confidence in learning, whether they have a formal diagnosis or not.
During the workshop, we will explore what dyslexia is, the common areas of difficulty associated with it, and how these challenges can affect everyday learning. Most importantly, you will leave with simple, evidence-informed practical tools that can be used straight away at home.
We will explore:
Understanding what dyslexia is and the theory behind it.
Recognising the characteristics of dyslexia and related learning differences.
Using effective resources and tools to help your child succeed.
Building confidence and reducing anxiety around learning.
Making everyday reading, spelling, and learning opportunities fun, engaging, and stress-free.
