About the event
Children learn social skills in different ways and at different rates. Neurodivergent children may experience social situations differently, which can affect friendships, communication, and confidence.
This workshop explores how social skills develop, how neurodivergence can influence social development, and practical ways to support children and young people to build meaningful connections while staying true to themselves.
Together, we will look at:
How social development can differ for neurodivergent children and young people.
What friendship skills are and how they develop over time.
Understanding social differences in Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Adapting support to meet your child’s individual needs and strengths.
Practical strategies to help children build friendships, develop social understanding, and navigate social situations with confidence.
Creating opportunities for connection while celebrating your child’s unique way of interacting with others.
