Description

A designated grade one building and scheduled to be listed as an ancient monument located close to the Bishop’s Palace moat walk. Dating from the fifteenth century and built from roughly dressed local stone, it has 12 bays with a central midstrey and gabled porches. Inside it has a raised-cruck roof with double collar beams and arched wind-braces between the first and second purlins and a Westmorland slate roof.
