A wisteria-cloaked Grade 2 landmark hotel in the centre of Taunton, dating from late 18th century. Has an adjoining portcullis gate on Castle Bow (Grade I listed) with 13th century arches and corner buttresses. The hotel is situated yards from Taunton Castle (see separate listing).
