Description

Oare House, set in the heart of Exmoor, is a distinctive and adaptable filming location surrounded by rugged moorland and lush valleys. Tucked away in the ‘Lorna Doone’ valley on the northern fringe of the National Park, Oare House is a beautiful Georgian home which overlooks the ancient Oare Church mentioned in the novel.

Set within 169 acres of valley with views across the landscape, it is a mix of cultivated spaces and wild terrain, with additional accommodation and farm buildings grouped around a courtyard and a south-facing walled garden being transformed by permaculture principles.
