Vivary Park

Description
An excellent example of a late Victorian public park. Covering 7.5 acres, the site includes large open spaces connected by paths, with several boulevards of established mature trees and a stream running along one side.
Its ornate bandstand and main gates date from 1894, while the striking fountain dates from 1907 and the substantial war memorial from 1922.
Other features include extensive planting, several shelters, duck feeding area, and wooded area with bark paths and a small weir.
Alos on site are a café and miniature railway which runs around a children’s play area. A privately owned bowls club, municipal golf course, mini-gold course and high-ropes centre adjoin the park.
