Introduction

We are encouraged to publish headline data in relation to our Self-build and Custom Housebuilding Register; including the amount of people on our register, where they would like to build, how they would like to build and the type of property they would like to complete. This information will be published for each corresponding base period.

The first base period ran from the date the register was first established by Mendip District Council (23 March 2016) ending on the day prior to the day which Section 10 of the Housing and Planning Act 2016 came into force (30 October 2016). Each subsequent base period is the 12 months following immediately after the end of the previous base period.
