Grants to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations

Introduction

We are required by the Local Government Transparency Code 2015 to publish details of all grants to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.

For each identified grant, the following information must be published as a minimum

date the grant was awarded
time period for which the grant has been given
local authority department which awarded the grant
beneficiary
beneficiary’s registration number
summary of the purpose of the grant
amount

Funding sources

There are various funding sources available to community groups in Somerset. Some are available from the County Council, others from District Councils, and there are many organisations which can provide funding for community projects.
