Introduction
On this page you will find information on why and how we monitor our performance and our latest performance report.
Headlines: End of March 2022 – Quarter 4
Performance against 17 of 33 objectives was on or above target.
It is important that we monitor our performance in order to make informed decisions and focus on the things that matter to local people. We have identified the things that we believe are most important to local people and set out as priorities in our County Plan what we aim to achieve in the next year.
We review our performance to ensure we are making good progress and so that we can make the decisions needed to keep our business on track and manage resources, budgets and staff. We also have a duty to local tax payers to be open and accountable for how we are performing.
How we manage performance
The Council’s approach to Corporate Performance Management follows a framework where all performance dimensions are considered alongside each other to make better decisions.
This allows us to provide clarity around our objectives, and identify the measures which really answer our performance questions, and build a more empowering system with more constructive challenge built in.
