Some key information

•    This role provides the opportunity for hybrid working, allowing you to work either from home, subject to managerial approval, or from one of our offices.
•    30 days' annual leave (in addition to bank holidays).
•    The contract offered is permanent and full-time (37 hours per week).

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. As a ECI Programme Engineer you will be responsible for interpreting service levels and policies and translate them from strategy documents, the asset management operational plans and life cycle plans int to programme(s) of work. 

 Your day-to-day work will involve working on:
•    Programme management and control. 
•    Annual programmes of reactive and planned work.
•    Forward programmes of up to five years for all major asset types to align with national guidance.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you are/have:
•    Educated to HMC or equivalent in a relevant subject. 
•    Experience and skills gained at a technical level and experience of project management/ project planning with definable outcomes and deliverables.
•    Experience of developing technical and engineering solutions and technical skills including choice of treatments and materials. 
•    The ability to develop and support highways asset management programmes of work to meet strategy and policy.
