Some key information

•    This role provides the opportunity for Hybrid working. This role is predominantly home based. 
•    25 days' annual leave (in addition to bank holidays). 
•    The contract offered is permanent and full-time (37 hours per week), however we can consider 32-36 hours per week working Monday – Friday. 

What will I be doing?

As a Recruitment Services Assistant part of your role will include assisting in the uploading of job adverts to the council's external jobs website www.jobsinsomerset.co.uk job site and other online platforms. This position plays a crucial role in supporting recruitment and public notices across the whole organisation.
Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Act as a day-to-day contact, providing general advice, guidance and support.
• Communicating with internal departments, external customers and media vendors.
• Setting public notice adverts on PC based QuarkXPress, providing quotes and using bespoke software to book adverts.
• Processing and preparing advertisements and obtaining voucher copies for digital files.
• Booking adverts and sending artwork to various publications, working to various deadlines.
• Supporting the team leader with paying invoices e.g. Uploading invoices to be processed.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

•    Are educated to GCSE/ NVQ Level 2 standard or equivalent including Maths and English.
•    Have excellent IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office, typing and internet navigation. This role will require the successful post holder to learn new software such as QuarkXPress and data entry. 
•    Have great organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload and work to tight deadlines with accuracy.

The salary for the role is Grade 14, ranging from £24,404 to £25,183 per annum (pro rata for part time hours).
