ICT Engineer - Data Centre

• This role offers hybrid working, allowing you to work either from home or from one of our offices, with a minimum of 1 day a week in County Hall
• 28 Days annual leave (Plus Bank Holiday)
• Role is full time (37 hours) Permanent.
• Take on a junior role in the team

We’re working to improve the lives of people here in Somerset and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Perform maintenance and upgrades to Hypervisors across Somerset Council Datacentres
• Carry out maintenance checks as required
• Support and over time configure our Cloud platform (Microsoft Azure)
• Dealing with day-to-day tickets within our ITSM (HALO).
• Support Senior/Lead Engineer on projects required by hosting.

• Have knowledge of key Hosting principals including
  • Azure Cloud, Azure Local, VMware management.
• Have knowledge in SCOM or similar monitoring tools.
• Can deal with changing and competing deadlines and priorities.
• Good problem-solving skills.

The salary for this role is Grade Som12 - £28,598 - £32,061.
