Domestic Homicide Co-ordinator

• • The role will be predominantly home working, however hybrid working is expected, with the usual office base being Taunton, although travel around the county may be occasionally required.
  • 28 days’ annual leave.
  • Opportunity for further learning is available to develop skills for delivery of this statutory process.
  • 37 hours per week. 2 year fixed term, with the possibility of extension.

   

   

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Community Safety Team, specifically supporting the delivery of statutory reviews, primarily the domestic homicide reviews programme.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Being a key part of a team focused on helping to keep Somerset’s communities safe.
• Co-ordinating multiple statutory reviews at varying stages, so requiring excellent organisational skills.
• Liaison with multi-agency partner organisations both statutory and voluntary, not only within Somerset but also across the country as required.

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

• Have education to degree or equivalent level of experience.
• Have experience of handling sensitive and complex information.
• Have excellent administrative skills.
• Have awareness of domestic abuse and knowledge of the domestic homicide review process.
